The first thing to know in advance is the making up your mind part. You have got two choices to make. Either jam at the Boston Pop live in concert for four hours, or be a part of the most amazing firework event in the whole of United States. The gates open at 9:00 AM and the ceremony starts at 8:30 PM. Therefore, there is a 12 hour delay. The situation becomes more and more absurd as teens desperate to hear their favorite stars may line up even before sun rise. This surely makes it a tough assignment to get one of those front row tickets, or even the ones in the oval. Even if you do not get good seats you will be able to enjoy the music, pumped through speakers.
The trick is to get in there as early as possible because this is your best bet to get a good seat where you can catch all the glimpse and glamor of the Boston Pop concert. After getting a free ticket to the oval for all your hard work you get a chance to enjoy the concert, but not the Boston Fireworks – just keep that in mind before you wait in line for 10 hours. Let’s face it; we do have to wait for more than 10 hours for the concert to start, so you might want to bring something extra with you. You should not bring something heavy that you will have to carry around or look after as you would have to carry it around for such a long time without having somewhere to put it.
If anyone wants to bring in booze to the party, they will be sadly disappointed as the organizers check every single bottle if it is closed and the liquid in the bottle is not booze or any other kind of intoxicant. There are, however, ways to sneak in amounts of booze, but these aren’t as clear cut as bringing it in through the security. There are lots of restrooms available, and yes they are free & occupied. We would recommend using the bathroom of a nearby market or church.
There are two more things that you may need to know about the concert at the Boston Fireworks event. First of all the seat number doesn’t matter, as everyone just wants to get as close to the action as possible, and you will have to fight for the right to keep your place secure. Secondly, if you cannot make time to visit the Boston Pops on the 4th of July, there may be an opportunity to catch the band in their rehearsal routine. The timing for the rehearsal is the day before the concert at 8:30 PM. There is obviously a shorter line for this event as there are less people.
While getting to see the Boston Fireworks is not as difficult a job as the concert, but one thing must be admitted that the closer the position of a person from the bridge, the better will be the view of the Boston Fireworks. Finding the right place to see the breathtaking display is not has hard as the concert, and it is certainly a more fascinating experience. You must be present at10:30 PM sharp at your desired point, as the pyrotechnic show at the Boston Fireworks does not last more than 20 odd minutes.
